Due to a lapse in appropriations, the NRC has ceased normal operations. However, excepted and exempted activities necessary to maintain critical health and safety functions—as well as essential progress on designated critical activities, including those specified in Executive Order 14300—will continue, consistent with the OMB-Approved NRC Lapse Plan.

Emma Redfoot

Emma Redfoot is the Siting and Environmental Lead at Oklo, Inc., where she specializes in the licensing and policy aspects related to the safety and environmental regulations governing the siting of nuclear facilities. Ms. Redfoot holds a BA in Environmental Studies and an MS in Nuclear Engineering. She has been with Oklo since 2018, bringing expertise in navigating the regulatory landscape for the siting of advanced nuclear facilities.
