David Tyndall

David Tyndall, P.Eng. is Ontario Power Generation's (OPG) Vice President of New Nuclear Engineering, accountable for Engineering Oversight of the Darlington New Nuclear Project, and technical oversight of OPG's nuclear growth portfolio. David has been with OPG for the past 18 years, working in various engineering roles of increasing scope and accountability at multiple facilities, including Pickering, Darlington, and most recently in new nuclear development.  Within New Nuclear development, David has led teams for technology assessment, siting, design optimization, licence application and feasibility of non-grid applications, including Small Modular Reactors, large nuclear and fusion to address Ontario and Canada's growing electricity demand. Within the broader industry, David is active within the Canadian Standard Association, CANDU Owners' Group, and is the industry chair of the Electric Power Research Institute's Advanced Nuclear Technology program.
