Andrew Proffitt is Regulatory Policy Lead at Helion Energy where he oversees regulatory policy development and implementation to enable the commercial deployment of fusion energy at the state, federal, and international levels. Prior to joining Helion, he worked as a nuclear regulator for fifteen years in a wide array of roles including licensing and oversight of operating power plants, licensing of new and advanced reactors, and the policy development for the regulation of fusion energy.
