Resolution of Generic Safety Issues: Issue 11: Turbine Disc Cracking ( NUREG-0933, Main Report with Supplements 1–35 )

DESCRIPTION

This issue which is identified in NUREG-070544 was raised because of the discovery of stress corrosion cracking in the low pressure discs of Westinghouse-designed turbines.

CONCLUSION

This issue is not by itself a distinct generic issue but is part of a larger already existing issue, Task Action Plan Item A-37, Turbine Missiles. Therefore, this issue is covered in Item A-37, contained in Section 2 of this report.
