NRC STAFF TO HOLD PERFORMANCE REVIEW MEETING FOR PEACH BOTTOM PLANT

Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with representatives of the Peach Bottom nuclear power plant on Thursday, August 12, to discuss the results of the agency's latest Plant Performance Review for the facility. PECO Nuclear Corp. operates the twin-reactor plant, which is located in Delta, Pa.

Results of the review are contained in NRC news release I-99-37, which was issued on April 13. That press release can be found on the agency's web site.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Muddy Run Information Center, 172 Bethesda Church Road West in Holtwood, Pa. The meeting will be open to the public for observation. At its conclusion, NRC staff will be available to answer questions from interested observers and to meet with state and local officials.
