NRC CHAIRMAN JACKSON TO TOUR THREE MILE ISLAND NUCLEAR PLANT,
CONDUCT PRESS CONFERENCE AT FACILITY ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 18

Nuclear Regulatory Commission Chairman Shirley Ann Jackson will hold a press conference at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant on Tuesday, August 18, in conjunction with her tour of the Middletown, Pa., facility that day.

The press conference is scheduled to begin at 2:45 p.m. in the auditorium at the plant's training center, which is located on Route 441, behind the visitors center. It will last approximately a half-hour. Questions will be restricted to members of the working press.

Dr. Jackson is traveling to TMI for a routine information-gathering visit.
