NRC, HADDAM NECK OFFICIALS TO MEET ON RADIATION CONTROL PROBLEMS

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with officials of Connecticut Yankee Atomic Power Company on Friday, July 18, to discuss continuing problems with radiation protection controls at the Haddam Neck nuclear power plant in Haddam, Conn. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the public meeting room of the NRC Region 1 office in King of Prussia, Pa.

The continuing problems were identified during recent NRC inspections of the plant, which has been permanently shutdown.
