Dear Sir:
The attached Interim Report is being submitted in accordance with 10 CFR 21 (a)(2) to address a potentially reportable equipment failure. A replacement governor installed on the 32 Emergency Diesel Generator failed during post installation testing. The governor has been returned to Engine Systems Inc. for failure analysis to determine if there is a deviation that would make the failure a reportable defect.
Indian Point 3 is not making any new commitments associated with this letter. If you have any questions regarding this submittal, please contact Mr. J. Donnelly.
