There are two possible workarounds for this problem: 1. Make certain that all joints to be classified automatically using the CHORDS FOR PUNCHING SHEAR AUTOMATIC command have two colinear members of equal outside diameter, where this outside diameter is the maximum of the outside diameters of all members incident on the joint. 2. Manually classify the joints in question using the explicit CHORDS FOR PUNCHING SHEAR command.
