Reference:     South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) Letter RC-
               94-0308 Dated December 2, 1994, Interim Part 21 Report
               (SSH 940002)

In the referenced letter, SCE&G informed the NRC of a defect that was
potentially reportable under 10CFR21.  The referenced interim Part 21
report identified the failure of a 27N degraded voltage relay which was
manufactured by Asea Brown Boveri (catalog #411T4175-L).  Subsequent
evaluation by SCE&G, following inspection by the vendor, has determined
that this item is not reportable under 10CFR21.
