Subject: MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT MONTICELLO                                

Discussion:

NMC announced that in mid-August, Mr. Tom Palmisano will succeed Mr. Dave
Wilson Site Vice President at the Monticello plant. Mr. Wilson has been  
named Vice President of Nuclear Operations, NMC.                         
                                                                         
Mr. Palmisano is coming from the Cooper Nuclear Station where he has     
filled several roles, including Vice President of Site Support, and most 
recently, Site Vice President. The Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD),
which owns Cooper Station, decided two weeks ago to proceed with an      
agreement with Entergy Inc. to manage the plant and concluded the        
management services contract between the plant and NMC.                  
                                                                         
Mr. Wilson, as Vice President of Nuclear Operations, will assist Mr. J.  
P. Cowan with various NMC initiatives. Mr. Wilson will fill the position 
left vacant by Mr. Gary Van Middlesworth when he was named Vice President
of Nuclear Assessment Programs in January.
