Discussion:
The NMC announced the following management changes today:
1) For Prairie Island and Point Beach, Mr. Mano Nazar, currently the Site
Vice President of Prairie Island, will assume duties as Senior Vice
President and oversee activities at both Prairie Island and Point Beach.
Mr. Nazar will report to Mr. John Paul Cowan, NMC Chief Nuclear Officer,
and will begin his new duties on January 14. Future plans include placing
Kewaunee in Mr. Nazar's area of responsibility. Mr. Joe Solymossy, who
was Vice President of Nuclear Assessment Programs, was appointed Site
Vice President.
2) For Monticello and Duane Arnold, Mr. Jeff Forbes, currently the Site
Vice President of Monticello, will assume duties as Senior Vice President
and oversee activities at both Monticello and Duane Arnold. Mr. Dave
Wilson was named to replace Mr.Forbes as Site Vice President of
Monticello. Previously, Mr. Wilson was Chief Nuclear Officer at Cooper
Nuclear Station.
3) At NMC headquarters in Hudson, Wisconsin, Mr. Gary Van Middlesworth,
currently Vice President of Nuclear Operations, will be appointed Vice
President of Nuclear Assessment Programs. He replaces Mr. Solymossy, who
was appointed Site Vice President of Prairie Island. Mr. Van Middlesworth
will report to Mr. Roy Anderson, Executive Vice President, and will begin
his new duties on January 27.
