Subject: VIRGINIA POWER ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Discussion:

Virginia Electric and Power Company has announced that on October 1,
2000, Mr. R. Blount, currently the Surry Power Station operations and
maintenance manager, will become the Surry site vice president.  Mr.
Blount replaces Mr. E. Grecheck who has taken a position at the Millstone
Nuclear Power Plant.  Mr. T. Sowers III, presently the Surry safety and
licensing manager, will fill the position vacated by Mr. Blount.  Mr.
Sowers' replacement has not been announced.
