Subject: PRESIDENT OF SOUTH CAROLINA ELECTRIC AND GAS (SCE&G) TO RESIGN

Discussion:

On August 3, 2000, SCE&G announced that Mr. Jack Skolds, the President
and Chief Operating Officer, will resign his position effective
August 18, 2000.  Mr. Skolds will join Unicom and ComEd as a senior vice
president and the chief operating officer of ComEd's Nuclear Generation
Group.  Officials at SCE&G have not announced Mr. Skolds' replacement.
