Subject: TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY NUCLEAR (TVAN) ANNOUNCES MANAGEMENT
         CHANGES


Discussion:

On July 11, 2000, Chief Nuclear Officer, John Scalice announced several
personnel changes:

Rick Purcell, Site Vice President, Watts Bar has been named Site Vice
President of Sequoyah succeeding Masoud Bajestani who will become Senior
Vice President of Fossil Operation in the Fossil Power Group.  Watts Bar
Plant Manager, Bill Lagergren will succeed Rick Purcell as Site Vice
President and Larry Bryant, Assistant Plant Manager at Watts Bar will
become Plant Manager.  These changes are effective July 17, 2000.

Robert Jones, Browns Ferry Plant Manager will become the Site Support
Manager.  Ashok Bhatnagar current Site Support Manager will assume the
Plant Manager position effective August 14, 2000.

Jerry Schlessel, Maintenance and Modifications Manager at Browns Ferry is
transferring to the site's Project Management organization on August 7,
2000.

Mike Skaggs, Executive Staff Support Manager to John Scalice will assume
the Maintenance and Modification Manager position at Browns Ferry
effective August 7, 2000.

Nick Kazanas, General Manager, Nuclear Assurance is transferring to the
Chief Nuclear Officer's staff.  Bob Adney, Vice President of Process
Methods will assume the position of General Manager, Nuclear Assurance
effective July 17, 2000.
