Discussion:

On March 6, 2000, American Electric Power announced that they completed
reloading ice into the D.C. Cook Unit 2 ice condenser ice baskets. Ice
condenser surveillance testing, including ice basket weighing, is nearing
completion to ensure compliance with Technical Specifications and return
the ice condenser to operable status. The licensee had thawed the ice
baskets in May 1998, to repair damaged baskets and perform ice condenser
inspections. Restart of D.C. Cook Unit 2 is currently scheduled for the
third week in April 2000.
