Subject: Senior Management Change

Discussion:

Alliant Energy announced the selection of Mr. Dave Wilson as Vice
President - Nuclear, effective September 1, 1999. Mr. Wilson, who is
currently the Assistant Vice President - Nuclear, will replace Mr. John
Franz Jr., who is retiring.
