Subject: SENIOR MANAGEMENT CHANGE AT INDIAN POINT 2
Discussion:
On July 27, 1999, Consolidated Edison Company of New York Inc. (Con
Edison) announced the appointment of John Groth as senior vice president,
nuclear operations and chief nuclear officer. The company's Board of
Directors approved the appointment at its regularly scheduled meeting.
He assumed the duties of Neil S. "Buzz" Carns, who recently retired. Mr.
Groth as 37 years of experience with naval and commercial nuclear power
plants. He previously served as vice president of nuclear generation at
South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company and was vice president at
the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations's Analysis Division.
Regional Action:
Con Edison informed the NRC Region I Administrator, NRC NRR Project
Manager, and the NRC resident inspectors of this management change.
