Due to a lapse in appropriations, the NRC has ceased normal operations. However, excepted and exempted activities necessary to maintain critical health and safety functions—as well as essential progress on designated critical activities, including those specified in Executive Order 14300—will continue, consistent with the OMB-Approved NRC Lapse Plan.

Enforcement Manual Change Notice - Number 6

Change Notice Number 6 was issued October 13, 2009, and added the following Enforcement Guidance Memoranda to Appendix A:

EGM 09-007 (rev 1), "Interim Guidance for Dispositioning Violations of National Source Tracking System (NSTS) Requirements," dated August 28, 2009.
EGM 09-006, "Enforcement Discretion for Violations of 10 CFR Part 72, Subpart K, regarding Implementation of Certificate of Compliance Amendments to previously loaded Spent Fuel Storage Casks," dated September 15, 2009.
EGM 09-008, "Dispositioning Violations of NRC Requirements for Work Hour Controls Before and Immediately After a Hurricane Emergency Declaration," dated September 24, 2009.
