Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public about Executive Order (EO) 14300 proposed rule Integrated Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal.
Section 5 EO 14300 directed the NRC to undertake a review and wholesale revision of its regulations and guidance documents, and issue notices of proposed rulemaking effecting this revision within 9 months and issue final rules and guidance to conclude this revision process within 18 months. This meeting is one of several public meetings being conducted by the NRC related to this effort.
