Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

In response to the ADVANCE Act, Section 401 (ML24292A171), NRC staff are exploring criteria development for non-destructive examination (NDE) of novel materials and the use of new technologies to increase manufacturing flexibility for transport package designs. NRC staff is holding a public meeting to facilitate the exchange of technical information between NRC Staff and External/Industry Program Stakeholders. The focus of this meeting will be to (1) gauge the current level of interest from Industry in the aforementioned areas and (2) provide information to assist NRC staff in establishing and optimizing the scope of future NRC actions. Among the information sought is the anticipated timeline(s) for development of materials via advanced manufacturing for use in light water reactors as well as near-term and mid-term and advanced reactors designs.
