Purpose
This meeting is a knowledge management and knowledge transfer workshop on implementation of the Non-power Production or Utilization Facility (NPUF) license renewal rulemaking that went final on December 30, 2024. Topics will include presentations on the major aspects of the regulatory changes, including but not limited to, non-expiring licenses by Order, environmental reporting, decommissioning, and updates to facility final safety analysis reports (FSARs). The NRC staff, NPUF licensees, and representatives of the National Organization of Test, Research, and Training Reactors (TRTR) will discuss regulatory and technical issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed throughout the meeting, however the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
