To discuss the NRC staff’s determination that Proposed Alternative RR-10 related to auxiliary feedwater valve testing at Prairie Island, Unit 1, is not required. Proposed Alternative RR-10 requested to defer quarterly and post-replacement testing of certain valves in the auxiliary feedwater system until plant startup after the current refueling outage, when plant conditions would support performance of the tests. The NRC staff determined deferring the tests until plant startup meets applicable requirements, so an alternative is not required.
