Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

This information public meeting is to discuss the Postulated Accidents/SAMA portion of the Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) environmental rulemaking (see 89 FR 64166). No specific SLR submittal will be discussed. In this meeting, the NRC staff, industry, and public will discuss the staff’s generic basis for the rulemaking that is provided in the 2024 license renewal generic environmental impact statement (2024 LR GEIS) in order for stakeholders to better understand the new rulemaking and basis as it relates to future SLR submittals. This meeting will allow for the NRC’s external stakeholders to participate in the regulatory process by discussion of regulatory changes to the SLR rule and guidance and interacting with NRC staff for a better understanding as described in the NRC’s policy statement on public meetings at 86 FR 14964.
