Purpose
A panel of experts will discuss high burnup uranium dioxide fuel fragmentation, relocation, and dispersal (FFRD) during design basis accident conditions and on the consequences of fuel dispersal. The panel will complete phenomena identification and ranking tables related to reactivity-initiated accident phenomena. This is a follow-up to the December 2023 (ML23352A274) and January 2024 (ML24023A577) PIRT panel meetings. Discussions will be led by NRC contractors.
