Purpose

The purpose of this presubmittal meeting, between Arizona Public Service Company (APS) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, is to discuss the proposed license amendment request using Risk-Informed Process for Evaluations (RIPE) to extend the Technical Specification (TS) 3.5.1, "Safety Injection Tanks (SITs) - Operating," and TS 3.5.2, "Safety Injection Tanks (SITs) - Shutdown," Condition B, Completion Time from 24 hours to approximately 10 days for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3.
