Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

The purpose of this meeting is to communicate to external stakeholders the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s (NRC's) recent issuance of temporary staff guidance (TSG), TSG-DORL-2021-01, Revision 3, "Risk-Informed Process for Evaluations" (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23122A014), incorporating observations from the first Risk-Informed Process for Evaluations (RIPE) review. Further, the purpose of this meeting is to discuss the staff’s assessment of the recommendations submitted by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), in a letter dated April 19, 2023 (ML23163A048), regarding RIPE. In addition, the NRC staff will offer an opportunity to the industry and public to provide feedback/comments on the risk thresholds proposed by NEI and the NRC's assessment of NEI's recommendations.
