Purpose
The NRC is sponsoring public workshops on the Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Licensing Framework for Advanced Reactors. The workshops are part of the agency’s efforts to prepare for safety reviews of future license applications. This workshop will cover the following topics:
(1) Overview of the Licensing Modernization Project (LMP) and on-going activities under the NRC-led Advanced Reactor Content of Applications Project (ARCAP),
(2) Overview of the I&C Design Review Guide (DRG), and
(3) Discussion of industry perspectives and potential challenges with LMP and the DRG implementation
