Purpose

The purpose of this public meeting is for the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) staff to present their proposal for NEI 20-07, Draft D. This presentation will discuss the restructuring of NEI 20-07 to include a risk informed approach for diversity and defense in depth in common cause failures of digital systems. These meetings are a result of NEI's request for NRC staff engagement on this guidance prior to submitting for formal NRC endorsement.
