Purpose
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff will hold a virtual meeting to discuss
proposed changes to the 10 CFR 2.206 process described in Management Directive 8.11,
"Review Process for 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions” based on recommendations from the report
of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Expert Evaluation Team on Concerns
Pertaining to Gas Transmission Lines Near the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant. This is
the third public meeting to gather insights from external stakeholders and to provide an
understanding of how previous comments have been dispositioned.
This meeting is a follow-up to the August 18, and October 20, 2020, public meetings
where the NRC staff presented proposed changes to the 2.206 petition process and
answered questions from members of the public.
