Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is for the NRC to provide licensees with a demonstration on how to use and electronically submit Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 50.55a(z)(1) and (z)(2) alternative requests.

Under 10 CFR Part 50, “Domestic Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities," licensees will have the option to use this online submission form to request relief, in the form of alternatives, from certain NRC regulatory requirements in 10 CFR 50.55a, “Codes and Standards.” The online form is limited to requests to use alternatives submitted under 10 CFR 50.55a(z). The NRC's online submission form was created by the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing and the EMBARK Venture Studio in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation in coordination with the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
