Purpose
Discuss a planned Exelon fleet request for an alternative to certain requirements in 10 CFR 50.55a. Every 10 years, each operating reactor is required to update its inservice testing and inspection programs to the latest edition and addenda of the applicable codes of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME) that are incorporated into 10 CFR 50.55a. Exelon proposes to reduce the frequency of these updates to once every 24 years. In addition, Exelon proposes to extend the inservice testing and inspection intervals from 10 years to 12 years.
