Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss proposed changes to the 10 CFR 2.206 process described in Management Directive 8.11, "Review Process for 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions,” based on recommendations from the report of the NRC's Expert Evaluation Team on concerns pertaining to gas transmission lines near the Indian Point Energy Center. This is the second public meeting to gather insights from external stakeholders and to solicit feedback on the 10 CFR 2.206 evaluation process.

This meeting is a follow-up to the August 18, 2020, public meeting where the NRC staff presented proposed changes to the 2.206 petition process and attempted to answer questions from members of the public.

Interested members of the public must register at the webinar address above to see the presentation onscreen. In addition, interested members of the public must dial into the teleconference number above, with passcode, in order to hear the audio. There is also an option to join by phone only.

The webinar will begin with presentation by NRC staff followed by the opportunity for members of the public to ask questions. The NRC staff will provide guidance during the webinar on how to ask a question. Alternatively, questions may be submitted in advance to Andrea.Russell@nrc.gov.
