Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the NRC online submission form titled “Request for Alternative Under 10 CFR 50.55a(z)(1) and (2)," and provide baseline instructions for its use.

Licensees under Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) Part 50, “Domestic Licensing of Production and Utilization Facilities," have the option to use this online submission form to request relief, in the form of alternatives, from certain NRC regulatory requirements in 10 CFR 50.55a, “Codes and Standards.” The online form is limited to requests to use alternatives submitted under 10 CFR 50.55a(z). The NRC online submission form was created by the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing and the EMBARK Venture Studio in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation in coordination with the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
