Purpose
The purpose of this predecisional enforcement conference is to discuss the three apparent violations identified by the NRC: (1) failure to monitor occupational exposure of workers from licensed and unlicensed sources of radiation; (2) failure to develop and implement certain elements of the Avera St. Luke’s radiation protection program; and (3) failure to submit a written report to the NRC within 30 days of discovery of a situation covered under Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 20.2203, specifically an occupational exposure in excess of the annual limits in 10 CFR 20.1201. These apparent violations are discussed in NRC Inspection Report 030-13778/2019-001, dated December 17, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19352D339).
