The purpose of this pre-submittal teleconference with the NRC staff is to discuss a proposed LAR to modify the PBNP, Units 1 and 2 licensing basis for TMP. In a May 1, 2018, pre-submittal meeting, NextEra described its plan to submit the Point Beach high winds probabilistic risk assessment (PRA) as the basis for eliminating the spectrum of high wind events as a site hazard. However, they have recently decided to simply request authorization to incorporate original construction design information into the licensing basis description of TMP. This subsequent pre-submittal meeting will address resolution of the non-conformances currently under enforcement discretion (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18105A305).
