Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the NRC staff's plans for updating Branch Technical Position (BTP) 7-19, Guidance for Evaluation of Diversity and Defense-In-Depth in Digital Computer-Based Instrumentation and Control Systems, and the staff's plans for completing a strategic assessment under MP #4B to improve the regulatory infrastructure that integrates performance-based and technology neutral safety engineering concepts. The staff will also discuss its plans to complete a review of the International Electrotechnical Commission standards for potential endorsement.
