Purpose
This teleconference is in response to NYSERDA's April 6, 2018, letter, requesting a public meeting with the NRC staff to discuss Entergy's submittal to use an alternative method to address reactor penetration weld flaws for Indian Point, Unit 2 (IP2). In its letter, NYSERDA requested the NRC staff to convene a public meeting to discuss NRC's analysis of Entergy's submittal before IP2 returns to service.
Interested members of the public can participate in this meeting via a toll-free audio teleconference. The dial-in information is provided below. This will allow members of the public to participate in the meeting in listen-only mode. However, instructions will be provided for how to request to speak during the public question-and-answer portion of the meeting. A telephone moderator will open phone lines on a first-come/first-served basis.

Comments
Per NRC Management Directive 3.5, meeting announcement information is generally available no fewer than 10 calendar days before the meeting. When a meeting must be scheduled but cannot be announced 10 calendar days in advance, the staff will provide as much advance notice as possible. Due to the nature of the request from NYSERDA, this advance notice was not possible.
