Purpose
The purpose of this predecisional enforcement conference is to discuss
the two apparent violations identified by the NRC: (1) failure to use a
containment system with a positive fastening device when shipping
radioactive sources; and (2) failure to package a shipment so that
external radiation levels are within regulatory limits. These apparent
violations are discussed in NRC Inspection Report 030-34866/2017-001,
dated October 11, 2017 (ADAMS Accession No. ML17236A425).
