Purpose
This public meeting is to discuss substantive aspects of work that the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has initiated in the area of confirmatory success criteria analysis, as part of its normal activities to refine and improve its independent Standardized Plant Analysis Risk (SPAR) models, using the DAEC as the reference plant. More specifically, this meeting is to discuss the plans for upcoming MELCOR accident analyses (e.g., boundary conditions, modeling assumptions). This activity is not directly associated with a specific or substantive regulatory issue or decision for DAEC. The NRC has determined, in accordance with Title 10 in the Code of Federal Regulations 2.390 that some of the information to be discussed during the meeting may be proprietary in nature and, therefore, a portion of the meeting may be closed to the public. This meeting is a follow-on to a prior meeting held on May 3, 2016.
