Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss an apparent violation related to the licensee’s failure to ensure that the radioactive contents of a radwaste container did not exceed the requirements for shipping. The focus of the Regulatory Conference is to discuss the safety significance of the finding, which is discussed in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Inspection Report 05000397/2016009 (ML17100A499), which has preliminarily been determined to be of low to moderate safety significance (White). Representatives from the NRC Region IV office and the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation will be participating, along with representatives from Energy Northwest.
