To exchange information about challenges, obstacles and implementation relative to the current regulatory infrastructure in addressing potential common cause failure (CCF) in digital instrumentation and control systems, for license amendment requests, new construction, and changes without prior NRC approval. Perform tabletop exercises using examples to demonstrate these challenges and how key technical approaches could be used to address CCF potentially leading to improvement in the associated regulatory infrastructure.
