Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss FFD program effectiveness, requirements, guidance, and possible strategies to minimize future FFD-related program changes. The NRC staff will present FFD performance data and trend information, discuss the requirements detailed in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 26, “Fitness for Duty Programs,” review program guidance, and seek collaboration on areas where policy and guidance can be improved to enhance program effectiveness and to possibly reduce costs. The agenda will include a discussion regarding the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ “Mandatory Guidelines for Federal Workplace Drug Testing Programs.”
