To obtain feedback to inform the development of a Commission paper that will recommend improvements to the NRC’s approach for tracking and reporting its rulemaking activities. The direction of this paper stems from a February 11, 2016, memo from NRC Chairman to EDO Victor McCree, "Rulemaking Tracking and Reporting." Specifically, the attendees will discuss: 1) A single, unified approach to track rulemaking activities and inform external stakeholders; 2) Consistent terminology and definitions to characterize the type and status of rulemaking activities; 3) Methods to ensure that the Commission, staff, and external stakeholders have “real time” access to view current information on rulemaking activities; and 4) Improvements to the NRC’s rulemaking website to reflect items 1, 2, and 3 (above).
