Purpose
The NRC staff will discuss the regulatory approach for the cyber security proposed rulemaking and related guidance. The NRC has invited the Department of Homeland Security to provide a 1 hour introduction on provisions of the Industrial Control System Computer Emergency Response Team. The NRC staff will summarize the updated technical approach for the proposed rule, work examples of the draft screening methodology for digital assets and then discuss the application of graded control sets. The NRC will provide a status update on development of the final regulatory basis and proposed rule language.
