To provide an opportunity for clarification on the Draft Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS), “Clarification of 10 CFR 50.46 Reporting
Requirements and Recent Issues with Related Guidance not Approved for use by the NRC.” The draft RIS is currently posted for comment in the Federal Register (80 FR 44160, July 24, 2015), and clarifies the staff’s position on regulatory reporting requirements under part 50.46 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, “Acceptance criteria for emergency core cooling systems for lightwater nuclear power reactors.”
