Purpose
The LAR to change the Point Beach Nuclear Plant licensing basis for the Turbine Driven Auxiliary Feedwater Pumps will allow for manually cross-connecting the steam supply and discharge during abnormal conditions. The cross-tie was added for Fukushima beyond design basis external events and credited in the fire probabilistic risk assessment.
