Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

The purpose of this workshop is to bring together NRC staff, regulated utilities, vendors of nuclear components, and other interested stakeholders to discuss vendor oversight issues. Vendor inspection support topics at this workshop will include discussion on the international vendor oversight under the Multinational Design Evaluation Programme - Vendor Inspection Cooperation Working Group; Safety Conscious Work Environment Lessons Learned; the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation acceptance process; establishing similarity in previously qualified equipment; commercial-grade dedication of items and software; and Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 21 rulemaking update. In addition to presentations by the NRC staff, there will be presentations by Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee, Nuclear Energy Institute, Electric Power Research Institute, Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, two new reactor licensee, and five nuclear vendors.
