EPRI currently has a project to develop guidance for corrosion rates to be used in FFS evaluations of buried pipe. This project is a follow-on to a 2012 project that reviewed and collected existing industry data on soil side corrosion of buried pipe (documented in EPRI report 1025256, "A Literature Review of Soil-Side Corrosion Rates for Buried Metallic Piping"). The objective is to develop a Topical Report that would complement ASME Code Case N-806. The 2 hour meeting is with cognizant NRC staff to present the approach EPRI is taking and review results to date.
