Public Meeting Schedule: Meeting Details

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed license amendment request (LAR) to complete the plant modification to install an alternate startup transformer (ST) XST1A for an offsite alternating current (AC) power source at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2. The NRC previously issued Amendment No. 160 to Facility Operating Licenses NPF-87 and NPF-89 by letter dated September 18, 2013 (ADAMS Accession No. ML13232A143) to revise Technical Specification 3.8.1, "AC Sources - Operating," to extend the Completion Time (CT) for Required Action A.3," Restore required offsite circuit to OPERABLE status," from 72 hours to 14 days (to be used twice) while completing the plant modification to install transformer XST1A. The licensee completed a portion of the proposed modification and used only one of the approved CT extensions. The amendment expired on March 31, 2014. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the licensee's approach to completing the remainder of the modification.
